Privacy Policy — AnalyzeQuran
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
AnalyzeQuran (“AnalyzeQuran,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates analyzequran.com, web.analyzequran.com, and the AnalyzeQuran applications for supported platforms (collectively, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how and why we use it, the service providers with whom it may be shared, how long we retain it, and the choices and rights available to users.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
Creating an account is optional unless a particular feature states otherwise. When you register, we collect information needed to create and secure your account, such as your email address, login credentials or authentication token, and an internal account identifier.
If you sign in through a third-party authentication service, we receive the account information that service makes available to us, as described at sign-in.
Synced Quran-study data
Registered users’ information is synchronized across their devices by default. We store information associated with the user’s account, including:
- Quran bookmarks;
- user-created notes;
- reading, display, language, and other app preferences; and
- information needed to operate synchronization, such as record identifiers and creation or modification times.
Notes and Quran-study activity may reveal information about a user’s religious interests or beliefs. We use this information only to provide the features requested by the user and do not use the content of private notes for advertising.
AI-powered search
When you use AI-powered Quran search, your query is sent to our AI provider, such as OpenAI, to enhance and interpret it. The enhanced query is then processed by AnalyzeQuran’s servers to find relevant results. Do not include personal or confidential information in an AI-search query.
AnalyzeQuran logs AI-powered search queries to personalize the user’s experience in the future. We do not use queries to train or improve AI models. Our AI provider may retain and process queries according to its applicable privacy policy and retention practices.
Analytics and technical information
Subject to applicable consent requirements, we and our analytics providers may collect information about use of the Service, including pages or screens viewed, feature interactions, device and browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral information, cookies or similar identifiers, and diagnostic information.
We also process IP addresses, request information, timestamps, and security events when reasonably necessary to deliver the Service, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and protect accounts and systems.
Contact and support information
When you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, message, and any attachments or diagnostic information you choose to send.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, and secure accounts;
- synchronize bookmarks, notes, and preferences across devices;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
- provide AI-powered search results;
- respond to support requests and feedback;
- detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- enforce our applicable terms and protect our legal rights.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use private notes or bookmarks for targeted advertising.
3. Legal Bases
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we process personal data:
- as necessary to provide account and synchronization features;
- based on consent where consent is required, including for non-essential analytics or specially protected information;
- for our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining, and improving the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by users’ rights; and
- as necessary to comply with legal obligations.
Where processing depends on consent, users may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
4. Service Providers and Disclosure
We disclose information only as necessary to third-party service providers that help us operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service. These providers may include:
- cloud hosting, database, authentication, and data-storage providers;
- AI-processing, search, and vector-database providers;
- analytics and performance-measurement providers;
- security, fraud-prevention, monitoring, and diagnostic providers; and
- communication and customer-support providers.
These providers may process information only to perform services for us and are subject to applicable contractual, confidentiality, and data-protection obligations.
We may also disclose information:
- when required by law or a valid legal process;
- when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the security of the Service;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the Service; or
- when directed or authorized by the user.
We do not sell personal information or disclose private notes, bookmarks, or account data to third parties for their independent advertising purposes.
Patreon and app-store operators process information independently under their own privacy policies when users interact directly with those services.
5. Retention and Deletion
Account information and synchronized bookmarks, notes, and preferences are retained while the account remains active.
8. User Rights and Choices
Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to withdraw consent.
Requests may be submitted through emailing to info@analyzequran.com. We may need to verify the requester’s identity. Users in the EEA or UK may also complain to their local data-protection authority.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account. Where local law requires parental authorization for older minors, an account may be created only with the required authorization.
If we learn that personal information was collected from a child contrary to applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us using the details below.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our websites may use essential cookies for security and functionality and, where permitted, analytics cookies. Non-essential cookies will be used only after obtaining consent where required.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, or applicable requirements. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects users’ privacy rights or choices. Where consent is required for a new use, we will request it before beginning that use.
